PROCEDURES
--The Problem of the Week (POW) will be posted one week before it is due. This will take no more than 45 minutes to complete each week. (Note: The first POW is already posted.)
--The POW is due no later than the time and date indicated on the problem. Students absent the day a POW is due should make arrangements to get it in on time. (Hint: Do it early.)
--POW's are designed as constant reviews. You may complete the POW the day it is posted and hand it in the next school day (six days early). You need not wait until the night before it is due.
--After the first POW, you may receive one point extra credit if a completed POW is turned in 24 hours or more in advance of scheduled due date and time.
--There are no extensions on ANY POW. Students absent three or more consecutive days may be excused from a POW.
--Understanding that 'things happen', the last POW of each quarter will be counted out of zero points. (If you've done them all, the it is a potential 10 points extra credit.)
--If you feel extenuating circumstances prevent you from handing in a POW on time, please discuss individually with the teacher.
--In the event of a sudden change in school schedule, check the opening page of this website for the latest information.

RULES
--You MAY NOT work on or have the POW out during class. Violation will result a grade of zero for that POW.
--You MAY ask your teacher at ANY (appropriate) time for assistance with the POW.
--You MAY use your textbook, notes, class website, calculator (when permitted), teachers, and each other as resources for your work.
--Any student suspected of using an inappropriate source shall receive a zero for the POW.

DEDUCTIONS
--
One point deduction for missing cover sheet (when there is one)
--One point deduction for no staple (folding or paper clips don't count)
--One point deduction for name missing on cover sheet
--(Calculus Classes) One point deduction for not following front-back-front format for answers.
