Inevitably, everyone will have to miss class at some point during the school year.

Missing ONE day of class:

  • You can view the lecture from the website. You will probably want to see Mr. Aiu for additional help
  • If you are absent the day before a test/quiz, you will be expected to take the test/quiz with everyone else.
  • If you are absent the day of a test/quiz, you can expect to make up the test/quiz during class on the day you return.
  • If you are absent the day a POW is due, your POW must still be turned in on time. (Suggestion: Turn it in early so you don't have to worry about it.)

Missing TWO days of class:

  • You can view the lecture from the website. You will probably still need to see Mr. Aiu for additional help with the homework.
  • If the schedule indicates no new material was learned during the absence and there is a test/quiz scheduled on the day of your return, you will be expected to take the test/quiz with everyone else.
  • If you are absent the day of a test/quiz, you will have THREE SCHOOL DAYS to make up the test/quiz. Failure to do so in the time allotted will result in a grade of zero.
  • If you are absent the day a POW is due, your POW must still be turned in on time. (Suggestion: Turn it in early so you don't have to worry about it.)

Missing THREE OR MORE days of class:

  • If at all possible, contact Mr. Aiu and let him know. He will create a customized make up schedule for you.
  • If a POW is/was due during the time of your absence, you will be excused from that POW with no penalty. Since solutions are posted on the website when a POW is due, it is not possible to 'make up' any POW's.
